Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Play Plot (“the Platform”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our booking platform available via playplots.com and related services.

By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Our Role (Platform Intermediary)

Play Plot is a digital booking and scheduling platform that connects users with independent sports facility providers.

We do not own, operate, manage, or control any sports facilities listed on the Platform.

We act solely as an intermediary facilitating bookings between users and facility partners.

3. Accounts and Use of the Platform

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account
• Use the Platform only for lawful booking purposes
• Not misuse, disrupt, or manipulate the booking system

We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

4. Bookings and Payments

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

A booking is only confirmed upon:

• Successful payment through an independent third-party payment provider, and
• Issuance of a digital booking confirmation by the Platform

Play Plot does not collect, hold, or process user funds and is not responsible for payment processing errors, delays, or failures caused by third-party providers.

5. Facility Partners

Facility partners are independent third parties responsible for:

• Safety and condition of their facilities
• Accuracy of availability listings
• Compliance with applicable laws and safety standards
• Fulfilment of confirmed bookings

Play Plot is not responsible for facility operations or services provided by partners.

6. User Responsibility and Risk

Users acknowledge that participation in sports activities involves inherent risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Use of facilities is at your own risk
• Play Plot is not liable for injury, loss, damage, or death arising from facility use
• Users are subject to facility-specific rules and policies

7. Cancellations, Refunds, and Interruptions

Cancellations, refunds, and disputes are subject to facility partner policies and/or applicable platform rules. See our Refund Policy for details.

We are not responsible for interruptions caused by:

• Weather conditions
• Power failures
• Facility operational issues
• Events beyond reasonable control (force majeure)

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Engage in fraudulent bookings or chargeback abuse
• Interfere with Platform operations
• Misrepresent identity or booking information
• Use the Platform for unlawful purposes

9. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, branding, and software are owned by Play Plot or its licensors and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Ugandan law:

• Play Plot shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for actions, negligence, or omissions of facility partners or users
• We provide the Platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties

11. Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws in Uganda.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time for:

• Breach of these Terms
• Fraudulent activity
• Misuse of the Platform

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
